Additional learning support

At our school, we ensure every student is ready to learn. We support students with disability and additional learning needs so they can take part in all areas of school life. You do not need a formal diagnosis for your child to receive support in a mainstream class. Support can begin at any stage of school.

Support that fits your child's needs

Some students need extra support to feel confident and do their best at school. We work closely with families to make support plans and adjustments that suits each child’s needs.

Inclusive Education Unit

Our school offers four Inclusive Education classes that support students with autism and/or moderate intellectual disabilities. Each student follows a personalised learning plan designed to meet their individual strengths, interests, and learning goals. Learning is supported through small class sizes, structured routines, visual supports, and a focus on developing communication, social, and independent living skills. Our dedicated teachers and support staff work closely with families and specialists to ensure each student can thrive. Students in these classes are valued members of our school community and have access to the same learning opportunities as their peers, including participation in excursions, special events, and whole-school activities.

Placement in these classes is determined through the Department of Education’s Access Request Panel process.

Contact us to meet with a member of this team to talk about your child’s strengths, interests and areas where they may need support.
